Each year, the Belleville Chamber of Commerce invites its members to support their work through committees.
The committees engage in areas of advocacy, membership and governance with recommendations to the Board for actions aligned with the strategic plan and our mission to Represent, Connect and Share our membership.
The Membership & Government Affairs committees seek representation from sectors within the membership.
- the Membership Committee discusses way to support networking and connecting events and activities
- the Government Affairs Committee discusses issues impacting various sectors and the consequences of legislation at the municipal, provincial and federal levels. The committee helps identify the business position for municipal decisions and which policy resolutions should be created for presentation at the OCC and CCC Annual Conferences.
The Finance & Governance committees are limited in size and seek help from members with professional experience in those areas.
Meetings are generally held by Zoom at 7:30 am recurring monthly on a Tuesday or Thursday morning for about 1 - 1.5 hours.
