The Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce is a cultural non-profit organization formed to generate commerce for Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs, creating economic development within the proud Black communities across the country.

In this 1-hour session led by Carrie Oswald, Belonging Redefined – you will explore how and why our spheres of influence are chosen. This interactive Session asks us to discuss and reflect on how we may be limiting our decision making and potentially the growth of our businesses while also offering tips and resources to help widen your Circle of Trust to maximize opportunities and/or uncover new opportunities for 2025 and beyond with fresh perspectives. An excellent session for Allies, Owners, Managers and decision makers of all kinds.

Peter Young from Virtual Encounters introduced us to the world of virtual reality and how immersive experiences relate to key sectors in Belleville - Manufacturing, Retail, Hospitality & Tourism, Non-Profits. These virtual experiences can aid employers in a variety of ways that include team building, training, onboarding, and so much more.
Introduction to the World Of AI.
Professor Baba Giwa from Loyalist College presented a high-level discussion on the value of AI for business. Ultimately, there is a cost and you should choose your platform wisely, but when leveraged with the correct data, AI can help your business be smarter. And AI does have the capacity to learn, setting it apart from even the best CRM systems.
The Hidden Job Market
Presented by the Belleville Chamber of Commerce CEO Jill Raycroft, with the help of the Centre for Workforce Development, the session explored the results of the 'pilot' survey completed by 76 of our chamber members. Watch for more on this subject as the survey gets rolled out across the region.

Experts from the CRA gave us a lot of information, including common tax errors, deductions, general bookkeeping concepts and best practices as well as helpful tools and services. Unfortunately, those sessions could not be recorded.
