Quinte area businesses now have a new way to do business online, that is totally focused on improving their business locally.
GetintheLoop Bay of Quinte – part of the GetintheLoop network -- is an intelligent mobile marketing platform that connects businesses with local consumers.
The online-offers platform allows businesses to deliver real-time offers directly to the mobile phones of engaged consumers, enabling them to attract new customers, develop meaningful relationships and obtain immediate in-depth data on their behaviour.
The GetintheLoop network reaches millions of Canadians every month and connects tens of thousands of members with exclusive offers across Canada.
GetintheLoop Bay of Quinte is the joint effort of franchise partners Tracey Dickson and Steve Wilkes.
Tracey was born and raised in Napanee and worked alongside her parents and siblings in their family transport business until it was sold in 2008. Having been a successful real estate agent for the past 16 years, Tracey launched GetintheLoop PrinceEdward County in October 2019 and most recently GetintheLoop Bay of Quinte in August 2020 with Steve.
After a successful 30-year career in technology, Steve launched Better Go Getter Delivery Services in 2014 and most recently launched GetintheLoop Northumberland before moving into the Bay of Quinte with Tracey.
Tracey and Steve stress that while their tools – provided through the GetintheLoop App on your smartphone – are capable of reaching the world, their focus is on local business.
“Local business is the cornerstone of any strong and vibrant community. We take pride in our ability to make marketing easier, more efficient and less expensive for all local businesses. We’re always looking to sharpen and refine the tools we’ve created to help even more people discover the trades and talents showcased daily within the community they call home."
“Local business is the root of community, which is why we remain inspired by, and committed to, the ideal of shopping local, wherever you are.”
If you don’t quite believe an app capable of spanning the country can help locally, download the GetintheLoop App on your smartphone to see how other local businesses are currently using the platform to connect to consumers on their mobile phone.
“We believe in entrepreneurship,” Tracey and Steve stated. “At the heart of every small business is an entrepreneur. Someone who saw a problem, had an idea and then worked to fix it. Entrepreneurs take risks. They choose a path, find their way and then work endlessly in search of success. It’s through that determination and relentless hard work that communities form, grow and prosper."
“We work obsessively every single day to support these individuals in their mission. We do it through the businesses we serve, Entrepreneurs are why we exist. Serving them is why we go on.”
Tracey lives with her partner Bryan and their fur baby, Teddy, in Picton. Both grew up in small towns and love the sense of community in the whole Bay of Quinte area from Brighton to Napanee and south to PEC. Tracey and Bryan love all kinds of music and usually attend several different concerts, both locally and Toronto or Ottawa each year. They also spend a lot of time with family and friends on their down time.
Steve is married to Jan (34 years) and has two kids (Trevor and Michele) and grandson (Carson). Steve and Jan spend time on the water and are accomplished paddlers. The passion for paddling has taken them all over the world and both have been honoured to represent Canada as members of the National Dragonboat Team. Steve is a certified Dragonboat Canada coach and is the Head Coach for the Cobourg Survivor Thrivers.
