Spring ahead one hour

Daylight savings time begins this weekend and the clocks will move ahead one hour.

Belleville Fire and Emergency Services wants to remind residents to change the batteries in their smoke and carbon monoxide alarms when moving their clocks forward.

All alarms should also be tested to ensure that they are operational. Working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms give you and your family the crucial time needed to evacuate in the event of an emergency.
