Stay informed and discover the latest happenings in Belleville, Ontario with the Belleville Chamber of Commerce News.
Thanks to the Belleville Senators for hosting the Chamber's first member mingle in more than two years. The McFarlands Pub in the heart of the CAA Arena was the perfect location given the hockey theme of the evening.
Breanne Mathews, VP Sales & Marketing, with several members of her team including everyone's favourite mascot, Belly, welcomed more than eighty members to the home of the Sens.
Breanne had the added pleasure of introducing Judi Gilbert, local entrepreneur and Chamber member, varsity hockey star and recent Hall of Fame nominee, and author. Having just left the printers, with the ink still wet, Judi spoke on her brand new book 'The Next Shift'. The book addresses the challenges of how to transition from sports into a regular life. Judi helps athletes understand how they can adapt the skills learned through their experience competing at the highest levels, into the workforce.
Judi's uncle, Dennis Hull, wrote the forward, and entertained the attendees with his recall of his life as a professional hockey player. READ MORE about Judi's book 'The Next Shift'.
Business owners were happy to once again have the opportunity to chat, talk shop and connect. Jill Raycroft, CEO, said "It’s a great opportunity to connect, it’s one of the things we do, we try to connect people, obviously, advocacy is our other role. But connecting people to each other, and members of the community is a big part of what we do,”
Thank you to the Belleville Senators for helping the Chamber to Connect!
