Downtown Belleville welcomed their newest restaurant today at the official ribbon cutting of Tiger Chicken and Ribs at 190 Front Street in Belleville, the former home of the Modern Cafe.

The family style restaurant offers a wide choice in menu items, which of course, includes rotisserie chicken and ribs, but extends to appetizers, wraps and sandwiches, pasta, burgers, stir frys, and a great kids menu.

Owner, Soma Kugan is excited to open their second location in the Quinte region.  Belleville "has a small-town vibe, but is also bustling with excitement", he said.

Joining Kugan in the official ribbon cutting ceremony is Belleville Mayor Mitch Panciuk, MPP Todd Smith, Belleville Chamber of Commerce President Peter Kempenaar, Councillors Tyler Allsopp, Carol Feeney, Chris Mallette, Garnet Thompson, Paul Carr and Bill Sandison.  Also joining the group was Luisa Sorrentino from the BDIA, Karen Poste from Economic Development, as well as several staff members.
