Congratulations to Paragon of Play, on the grand opening and ribbon cutting of their new learning resource centre in Belleville on Monday, November 6th.
Owner Jessica Spice was excited to showcase the space today at the official ribbon-cutting ceremony. The centre offers arts, literacy and general interest programming for children, youth and adults. Some of the typical programming includes literacy tutoring groups, family craft events, paint nights, art camps, and parenting courses. They strive to be an inclusive and accepting space where everyone can learn and grow while exploring their unique interests, talents and personal goals. Jessica is an elementary teacher and an ECE college course facilitator.
Belleville Mayor, Neil Ellis and councillor Garnet Thompson were thrilled to accept a special gift of the Belleville logo, recreated on canvas by some of Jessica’s art camp children. Representatives from MP Williams and MPP Smith joined the celebration, as well as Trenval. Also in attendance was Chamber CEO, Jill Raycroft, proud to have Paragon of Play as a Belleville Chamber member. Luc from the Small Business Centre took the opportunity to happily present Jessica with a $5,000 cheque as a recipient of the Starter Company Plus Grant.
