BELLEVILLE – November 29, 2024)– On November 29, the Belleville Chamber of Commerce and the Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce (CBCC) celebrated the launch of their groundbreaking Dual Membership Program at a ribbon-cutting ceremony held at the historic Log Cabin in Belleville. The event was hosted by Jill Raycroft, CEO of the Belleville Chamber of Commerce, and Nikki Clarke, National Business and Membership Manager of the Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce. Belleville Mayor Neil Ellis was in attendance, along with a full house of local business leaders and community members.
This innovative Dual Membership Program is designed to diversify and expand business networks, market interests, and resources for entrepreneurs. Members will benefit from expanded networking opportunities, increased business exposure, and access to valuable resources from both Chambers, fostering business growth and strengthening community ties. Any Black-led organization that joins the Belleville Chamber of Commerce will be eligible to join the Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce at no additional cost. This partnership aims to create a thriving business ecosystem that promotes diversity, innovation, and prosperity in the region.
During the event, Nikki Clarke highlighted the importance of this collaboration, stating:
"This partnership marks a new chapter of inclusivity and economic growth in Belleville. By joining forces, we are building a vibrant and supportive business community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive."
"The Belleville Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to be the third Chamber in Ontario to launch this partnership with the Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce affirming our mission to foster a welcoming, inclusive business community. As more people migrate from the GTA to Belleville, or choose Canada as their new home, we’re embracing this opportunity to extend the network of support available and celebrate the diversity they bring." BCC Chamber CEO Jill Raycroft added.
The Belleville Chamber of Commerce and the CBCC are proud to offer this unique opportunity to their members and are confident it will drive both social and economic progress in the region.
