Last week, nearly 700 business leaders and chamber of commerce executives, from across the country gathered for a unique look into the mindset of Canadian entrepreneurs and the issues that are most important to them as we recover and adapt to the new realities created by the pandemic.
Jill Raycroft, CEO and Peter Kempenaar, President attended the virtual two day event representing the Belleville Chamber of Commerce.
Delegates heard from futurist Dr. Parag Khanna and from Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, and participated in a series of panels on topics that are top-of-mind for small businesses including:
- Rebuilding Small Business
- Digitalization of Small Business
- Building an Inclusive Recovery
- The New Normal
Always popular, the eagerly-anticipated policy sessions debated 67 proposed resolutions and adopted 56 new policies. The proposals adopted will form the backbone of the Canadian Chamber’s advocacy efforts with the federal government in 2022.
