The Small Business Centre opens phase 2 of applications for the Starter Company Plus grant.
The grant is funded by the Government of Ontario through the Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade in support of small businesses in the Province of Ontario.
Applications are now open for phase 2 as of today September 14, and the applications will remain open until all funds are exhausted. Full details on eligibility and times lines can be found at www.smallbusinessctr.com.
All businesses are eligible to apply to this grant opportunity, but applications will be assessed as they are received.
Applications eligibility for the grant will be based on the same eligibility criteria as the initial intake. Once all funds are exhausted the website will be updated.
“We have grants available through the Starter Company Plus program. Money we want to put to use in support your business start up or expansion”, says Luc Fournier, Program Coordinator for the Small Business Centre. “Applications open today but all applications will be assessed as they come in, so the first eligible applications will be awarded the grant. All details on application timelines are available on our website.
“If you are considering applying, take a look at the eligibility criteria found online.”, says Amber Darling, Executive Director for Trenval. “The applications are assessed based on these foundational criteria, however additional considerations have to be made as well.”
The Starter Company Plus program is designed to stimulate economic growth and create positive job impact for our communities. The Small Business Centre can accept applications from any business located in the City of Belleville, the City of Quinte West, Hastings County, Prince Edward County, and Lennox & Addington County.
The Small Business Centre offers supports to all businesses outside of the grant programs as well. It is encouraged that all business apply for the Starter Company Plus grant, and even if not accepted businesses still have access to our full spectrum of resources and supports that are available yearround.
