Thomas Estevez Design has been a proud member of the Belleville Chamber of Commerce since 2008, and the owners were happy to recently accept their second plaque.
Meet Erin and Jesus Estevez, owners of Thomas Estevez Design, located downtown at 394 Front Street in Belleville.
Erin had chosen to follow her family’s tradition as a jeweler, building a business on Dalhousie St. in Ottawa. They met while Jesus was studying fine arts at Ottawa University, and together, decided to move to Spain in 1991. There, they established a retail, wholesale and design business and Jesus expanded his creativity to the design and manufacturing of jewelry. They enjoyed that successful business for 16 years before making the decision to come back to Canada and reconnect with family.
Erin’s focus is on the beauty of silver. Like many jewelers, she is also an expert on the energies and properties of stones and crystals. Find more information on their new online store therocks.ca. Erin’s most recent blog includes extensive knowledge of ‘shunghite’ with an added emphasis on scientific findings.
Jesus started his own art academy when he came to Belleville and continues to teach oil painting at the Quinte Ballet School in Belleville. Renowned for his portrayal of the Quinte region in oil, his works have been given as gifts to visiting dignitaries to Belleville. A full-time artist, Jesus does commissions and has licensed his art to decorate buildings. His work is highly collectible and only available at the gallery, but some pieces can be seen online at therocks.ca and at http://artejesusestevez.blogspot.com
In keeping with their philosophy of making beauty and energy available to the public, the art, jewelry, and minerals are top quality and reasonably priced, affording a special trip for faithful customers both local and beyond.
Erin and Jesus love this area, it's nature and people and will continue to offer their unique collections both at their storefront with reduced hours (Mon. – Sat. 10 – 2), and with our newly re-branded on-line store therocks.ca.
Erin’s eye for design has filled the quaint space with beautiful jewelry for every budget, while Jesus’ creations in canvas line the walls.
