Taskforce Engineering has announced a $100,000 contribution to United Way Hastings & Prince Edward (United Way HPE), underscoring their commitment to the community that has entrusted them with the revitalization of the historic Memorial Arena in downtown Belleville. This generous act is less about the sum and more about the shared values of stewardship, trust, and giving back.

“The renewal of the Memorial Arena is more than a construction project,” said Hilary Murphy, Director of Engineering and Business Development of Taskforce Engineering. “It’s an opportunity to honor the community’s trust in us to preserve and transform a cherished landmark. In the same way that we are committed to being responsible stewards of this project, we are equally committed to giving back to the community that has placed their faith in us.”

Taskforce Engineering’s gift to United Way HPE reflects a shared mission: to be trusted stewards of the community’s resources. As a leader in the not-for-profit sector, United Way HPE ensures that every donor dollar is strategically invested to address pressing local needs, from food security to mental health support, and beyond.

“United Way HPE plays an integral role in improving the quality of life for so many in our region,” added Ian Wilson, Director of Construction, Taskforce Engineering. “By supporting United Way, we are investing in the resilience of the community we are so proud to be a part of.”

Brandi Hodge, Executive Director of United Way HPE, expressed gratitude for the meaningful contribution. “Taskforce Engineering’s generosity goes beyond financial support; it reflects their deep understanding of what it means to strengthen the fabric of our community. Their commitment inspires us all to work together toward a brighter future.”

The revitalization of the Memorial Arena is a tangible example of Taskforce’s dedication to safeguarding community assets while creating spaces for future generations to gather and thrive. Their support of United Way HPE ensures that critical programs and services will continue to uplift individuals and families throughout Hastings and Prince Edward counties.
