Please note the following changes to City services for Remembrance Day:

  • City Hall – Closed Nov. 11.
  • Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre – Customer service desk closed on Nov. 11. Regular ice and FDC Track open on Nov. 11.
  • Transit – Regular transit and mobility transit will run as usual on Nov. 11.
  • Leaf & Yard Waste Depot – Closed Nov. 11.
  • Thurlow Landfill – Closed Nov. 11 (no changes to regular hours).
  • Hazardous and Electronic Waste Depot – Closed Nov. 11 (no changes to regular hours).
  • Glanmore National Historic Site – Closed Nov. 11 (no changes to regular hours).
  • Belleville Public Library – Open Nov. 11.
  • Community Archives – Closed Nov. 11.

There will be no changes to curbside garbage, green bin, recycling and bulky items collection.

The Belleville Veterans Council will hold a special Remembrance Day ceremony beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 11 at the Belleville Cenotaph (10 Cannifton Rd.). Please join us as we honour and remember those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom.

Elmwood Cemetery will be holding their Remembrance Day Ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 4:15 p.m.  Elmwood is the site of over 212 Veterans.

Belleville Public Library will hold a Remembrance Day talk with Sergeant Anna Cummings on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 3:30 p.m. in the 3rd floor meeting room at the library (254 Pinnacle St.). Sergeant Cummings will share her personal experiences in service, highlighting the courage, resilience, and commitment of those who serve our nation.
