Local dignitaries gathered Wednesday, January 4th to celebrate the grand opening and official ribbon cutting at COBS Bread.

Owner Andrew Blackett is not only excited to be part of the Belleville community, he is ready to give back, with every dollar spent on the grand opening day donated to Gleaners Food Bank.  More than $6,000 was raised and will go towards the purchase of a used fork truck for Gleaners.

COBS Bread also donates everything they don’t sell, every single day to Gleaners, who in turn distributes to those organizations in need, like Open Door Café, Grace Inn, and the Bridge St. United Church.

You can find a variety of breads, buns, scones, croissants, danish, tarts and so much more.

COBS Bread is located at 305 N. Front St. (Fresh Co Plaza) and is open weekdays from 6 am to 8 pm and on weekends 6 am to 7 pm.
