MEET OUR MEMBER SERIES:  Heather Tapp, Belleville Pregnancy and Family Care Centre

Belleville Pregnancy and Family Care Centre joined the Chamber in 2021 and is one of several not-for-profit charitable members.

The organization is a Christian charity and has provided services in the region for more than 33 years, opening in 1989.  Receiving no government funding, support is provided for families challenged by pregnancy.

The Centre offers several programs and one-on-one support that helps both expecting mothers and fathers through the pre- and postnatal periods, with additional programs and services that offer education on parenting and relationship building, as well as material support including baby clothing, diapers and more.

Post-abortion care is also offered, guiding the parents through periods of grief and loss.

Heather Tapp has been involved with the Centre for more than 18 years, serving as Executive Director for the past 12 years.  She leads a team dedicated in their mission to provide “support, education and resources for those who are vulnerable to unexpected pregnancy and to individuals facing challenges related to pregnancy through hope, connection and compassionate care”.

Tapp spoke passionately saying, “We are not enabling, we are supporting” families as they work through a difficult time in their lives.

Visit the Belleville Pregnancy and Family Care Centre website to learn more about their organization and the important services they provide to our community.
