Greg and Nancy Annesley, after twenty-one years, have passed on their legacy.

The Boathouse originated in 2000 as a small, 30 seat breakfast spot, and before long, grew and grew, thanks to the hard work of the staff and the signature batter on their fish and chips.  Today, the restaurant seats 200+ with no fewer than sixty staff members.

The Boathouse evolved into a "destination spot" for residents and tourists alike.

Greg announced "It's not goodbye, it's see you later!", as he passed the torch to the new owner, Tony and Crystal Mantis.  He is certain that, because they share a vision of the region and the development of the waterfront in Belleville, the property is in good hands.

The Mantis' shared their vision of the restaurant location with their guests, wich includes the addition of extra restaurants, and a boutique hotel.  The full presentation can be viewed below.  (Credit: C Squared Inc.)

The Boathouse has been a proud member of the Belleville Chamber of Commerce since 2005.  Check out their listing on bellevillechamber.ca.
