The Station Belleville celebrated their grand opening in Belleville on Friday, October 23.

The ribbon was cut by Mayor Mitch Panciuk.  M.P. Neil Ellis brought congratulations from the Government of Canada.  Belleville Chamber of Commerce president, Greg Sudds, presented owner Joe Tambasco with a certificate of congratulations as well as greetings on behalf of M.P.P. Todd Smith and the Government of Ontario.

The Station Belleville, located at the Bayview Mall,  is a cultural, recreational and educational centre for kids and youth aged 6 – 14.  The 7,400 sq.ft. facility offers after school programs, PA day activities, summer camps, birthday parties, private events, after school and week-end drop-in activities and more!

The brainchild of Joe Tambasco and his two kids, Oliver and Oscar, the first program ‘OO’ (for Oliver and Oscar) Spy School, was started in Toronto five years ago.  The interactive modules taught the children drama disguise, gadgetry and ninja training.  Moving the business model to Belleville, Joe paired the ‘OO’ Spy School with QBOT (Quinte Belleville Obstacle Training).

The Centre also offers a ‘Technology & Tools Maker Lab, VR and Simulator gaming and a homework club and tutoring.

The clubhouse atmosphere, including the ‘old school’ homework room, provides kids opportunities to keep their minds and bodies active.  This safe hangout space allows them to get together, learn, share ideas, create, explore and just have fun!
