City of Belleville officials met again today with Hastings Prince Edward Public Health, Quinte Health Care, neighbouring municipalities and other community partners via teleconference to receive updates on the COVID-19 situation locally and beyond. Updates from today’s meeting included:

  • The number of provincial cases continues to climb. The latest report is available on the Ontario government’s website: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/
  • Those who are returning from travel anywhere outside of Canada since the Quarantine Act Order came into effect on March 26 are reminded that they must self-quarantine for 14 days and contact Public Health or their local health care provider if they develop symptoms of COVID-19. Those who returned from travel outside of Canada prior to March 26, are told by a health care professional they have COVID-19 (regardless of a lab confirmation) or those close contacts of a person who has COVID-19 are reminded that they must self-isolate for 14 days and contact Public Health or their local health care provider if they develop symptoms of COVID-19.
