FEDERAL GOVERNMENT LOWERING EMPLOYMENT INSURANCE PREMIUMS The federal government has just announced that it will be lowering Employment Insurance (EI) premiums for small businesses, paid by employers and employees, in an effort to boost hiring at a time of sluggish growth.
